Pricing

All prices show on the website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD$), and they are all gst inclusive.

Payment via Credit Card

When you place your order using the Credit Card payment method, you are re-directed from our website to a secure payment environment where you enter your details. Your card details are confirmed and the funds are reserved for the transaction. Once your order is ready for dispatch, we "capture" the transaction which instructs the funds to be drawn from your card. We do not store or have access to your credit card details.

Payment via Bank Transfer

After you have placed your order, we will email you an invoice showing our bank details. When the bank payment has cleared we’ll dispatch your order.

Processing & Dispatch

Your order will usually be dispatched on the same or next business day the payment is received (Monday – Friday), Depending on time of payment.

Orders received on Sat, Sun and Public Holidays will be processed on the next business day. Deliveries are only made on business days not weekends. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

We don't always have all listed products in our stock. In this case, the product will be sent to you directly from our supplier at the same price.

Order Cancellation

Once your order has been placed and paid for the order is committed and we cannot offer refunds if you simply change your mind. Please see our returns policy for the requirements for when a product can be returned.

Delivery regions

We are a New Zealand based company and will not send goods overseas.

Delivery can be made almost anywhere in the North Island, South Island, Stewart Island and Waiheke Island. For other New Zealand islands (Chatham, Great Barrier etc.) we can delivery to a mainland ferry terminal or directly to your shipping agent.

Delivery times

Please note that delivery times are a best estimate and are given in good faith. But are not to be treated as a condition of the sale. No claim shall be made by you on account of late delivery however caused. Late delivery shall not constitute a breach of this contract by us, and you shall not be entitled to cancel this contract because of late delivery.

  • North Island (1-2 working days)
  • North Island Rural (2-3 working days)
  • South Island (1-3 working day)
  • South Island Rural (2-4 working days)
  • Other Islands (2-6 working days)
  • If you require an overnight courier or Saturday delivery, please call us for a quote and to confirm whether this is possible.

All packages will be sent by a courier. Not by postage. However if the courier cannot deliver in a reasonable time or cost, the package may be sent by post. If items are too large for a courier it may be delivered by a truck. You may be asked to supply another address, as trucks only deliver to business addresses.

How much will delivery cost?

The freight charge is automatically calculated and displayed when you add a product to your shopping cart.

We offer free delivery on orders over $150 value for all deliveries to the North Island. Free shipping is not available to the South Island. If the delivery address is outside the North and South Islands (eg. Waiheke, Great Barrier, Stewart Islands), please contact us for a freight quote. Our automated online freight quote only applies to North & South Islands.

We reserve the right to refuse orders or negotiate delivery fees.

Some products are not able to be shipped. Some products are not eligable for free shipping.

Damaged Items

Your order is insured against damage and loss-in-transit providing you follow a few simple guidelines.

  • By signing for the parcel you are saying it has been received in good order.
  • Do not sign for your parcel until you have thoroughly inspected it carefully and it is in good condition.
  • If you have any concerns, if there is visible damage to the outer packaging or something is damaged, you must note this on the paperwork.
  • If you are unsure or do not have time to fully inspect the parcel, you should sign “Subject To Inspection”
  • If there is any damage you need to notify us within 24 hours to qualify for an insurance claim. Do not discard any of the box, shipping label, packing material, or broken items. The delivery company will need to pick up the damaged goods. We are unable to send a replacement until the item has been returned for inspection. We will endeavour to send you a replacement as soon as possible.

Tracking

If your parcel has not arrived within the stated time (as above), please contact us and we will track it for you. We will only track your parcel if it is outside the given delivery time.

Stock

Due to higher than expected sales volumes, some stock may be sold out. If so you will be notified within 24hrs or business day. If sold out we will endeavour to supply another suppliers product at similar or more expensive value. Or a rain check will be given. If there is a long wait for stock we will refund the purchase price. The customer may be offered a different colour to fulfil an order.The customer cannot collect from our shop location. Prices in the shop or other websites may be different. We will not adjust or match the price.

Invoices

All invoices are computer generated and have the purchasers name and address on it. All invoices include GST. As we do not send orders overseas we will not remove or zero rate the GST.

Warranty

All products come with a 12 month warranty (unless otherwise stated). We require proof of purchase such as your receipt or invoice. The buyer shall ensure that the item is suitable for the application.

If there is a warranty issue, PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST. You need to give us the opportunity to resolve the problem. We will work closely with our supplier to provide a speedy resolution. We cannot reimburse you if you bypass us and then send us a bill after repair work has been completed.

If possible we will try use a local service agent to fix the fault. However the buyer may be required to send the item back to us or a service agent in a fully packaged condition. Shipping is not covered under the warranty.

Once the goods have been inspected, the judgment of our supplier or service agent is considered correct and final. If the defect is not a warranty issue or due to incorrect installation or misuse, the warranty will be declined and the buyer may be liable to pay for any expenses incurred during the claim process.

Should the product be determined to be faulty, it will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. Should a replacement product be unavailable, we will credit the original purchase price of the product. Which will exclude the cost of your freight. However, replacement goods will be sent to you freight free.

The Boat Centre’s liability of any defect in (or failure of) the goods supplied, or for any loss, injury, or damage, is limited to the replacement of the goods or repair of the defects. The Boat Centre is not liable for consequential, indirect or special damages or loss of profits under any circumstances.

The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, inappropriate or improper operation, lack of maintenance, incorrect installation, modification or adjustment of the item.

Some items may need to be installed by a certified installer. Proof that this requirement has been fulfilled may be requested or your warranty is void. If the item has an attempt to repair it from an unauthorised repairer your warranty is void.

The Boat Centre’s liability under this contract and the warranty in this clause is confined to the buyer named in this contract. The warranty is not transferable without our prior written consent. At the termination of the warranty period all liability on The Boat Centre Ltd ceases.
